Under 3 years

Story Times
Mother Goose on the Loose
This half-hour story time is for children 18 months and younger and consists of rhymes, stories, songs and much more. Mother Goose on the Loose (MGOL) is held at 10:15 a.m. on Mondays at the Manomet Branch and at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesdays at the Main Library. The program runs for eight weeks and requires registration, as space will be limited. Registration begins June 8th at Manomet and June 10th at the Main Library.
Tots 'N' Tales
Tots 'n' Tales (TNT) is for children age 3 and under, with a parent or caregiver. This half-hour story time is similar to our Mother Goose on the Loose program, with stories, rhymes, finger plays and songs aimed at active toddlers. TNT is held at 11:00 a.m. on Mondays at the Manomet Branch, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Main Library. No registration is necessary for this program.
Story Time Under the Stars
Families with children ages 5 and under are invited to join us for an evening story time on Wednesdays, June 24th, July 15th and August 5th, at 7:00 p.m. We will have snacks while listening to some great stories. This program is free and no registration is necessary.
Special Events
Squiggles & Giggles
This story and craft program is for children ages 18 months to 3 years, accompanied by a parent or caregiver, and is held at the Main Library on select Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Children will listen to a story and participate in a simple craft. Space is limited, so registration is required. Registration will begin two weeks before each program.

Big Ryan's Tall Tales
Children of all ages are invited to join us for Big Ryan's Tall Tales on Friday, July 24th at 10:30 a.m. Big Ryan's wonderful original tales and fun puppets will be sure to please. This program is free and no registration is required.

3 to 5 years

Space Rangers: Weekly Club Meeting
The Space Rangers meets on Tuesdays at the Main Library, with two times to choose from. The first session begins at 10:15 a.m. and the second begins at 11:00 a.m. Both sessions will last for a half hour and have the same projects. Please register for the time that is best for your family; space will be limited in both sessions. At Manomet, the Space Rangers will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Thursdays. Registration for all club meetings begins two weeks in advance; it will be necessary to sign up for each meeting. These meetings are free and space will be limited.

Special Events
Story Time Under the Stars

Martian Moon Pie Jamboree
Children ages 4 to 6 years are invited to our Martian Moon Pie Jamboree on Wednesday, July 8th at 2:00 p.m. for snacks, a craft and fun games. Registration for this free program is required and will begin June 24th. Space will be limited.

6 to 8 years

Mercury Commanders: Weekly Club Meeting
Come each week for fun activities and crafts related to the weekly theme. Register for the time that works best for your family, 2:00p.m. or 3:00p.m. on Tuesdays at the Main Library. Space will be limited in each session. Mercury Commanders at the Manomet Branch is on Mondays at 2:00 p.m. Registration begins two weeks in advance of each program. This program is free and space will be limited.

Special Events
Astronomers' Book Club
Children ages 6 to 8 are welcome to join our summer book club which will meet one Saturday in both June and July. Children are encouraged to read the selection and talk about the book, plus complete a fun activity related to the book. This program is free and registration is required. Registration will begin two weeks before each meeting.

Star Gazing at the Plymouth Public Library
Bill Luzader will visit the Main Library on Monday, August 3rd to talk about the night sky. Mr. Luzader is a member of the South Shore Astronomical Society and Stars Around New England. This free program is for children ages 8 and older with their families. Registration is required; call or stop by the Children's Desk to register. Check out the South Shore Astronomical Society's web site for more information about the group.

9 to 12 years

Gemini Mission: Weekly Club Meeting
Come to weekly meetings for fun activities and crafts related to the week's theme. Meetings are on Mondays at 3:00 p.m. at the Manomet Branch Library and 3:00 p.m. on Thursdays at the Main Library. Registration is required and begins two weeks in advance of each meeting. This program is free.
Special Events
Star Wars Pop-Ups
Kids ages 9 to 12 years are welcome to join us on Saturday, June 27th at 2:30 p.m. to create pop-ups following the designs of the renowned pop-up team, Matthew Reinhart and Robert Sabuda. Reinhart is the creator of Star Wars: A Pop-up Guide to the Galaxy and many of the Star Wars pop-ups we will create come from Sabuda's web site. Registration for this free program is required and will begin June 13th.
Star Gazing at the Planetarium
Bill Luzader will be the Main Library on Monday, August 3rd to talk about the night sky. Mr. Luzader is a member of the South Shore Astronomical Society and Stars Around New England. This free program is for children ages 8 and older with their families. Registration is required and will begin July 20th; call or stop by the Children's Desk to register. Check out the South Shore Astronomical Society's web site for more information about the group.
